Also, I don't know what Amazon's liability is, but I suspect they take on any missing or damaged shipments themselves, unlike MoC, who would be responsible for replacements, reshipments, etc if ordered directly from them.

I would suggest checking Amazon.it site. Unfortunately, it is not yet included in some price tracker sites or price-watch software so finding a bargain is a hit-and-miss process. For instance, I had made a bulk order which consists of 6 articles and I got 'Mabuse Boxset' for EUR 23,19 (26,62/1,20 + 1,00 P&P).

Hmm... titles for sale on the MoC page are more or less the same batch as last time.

I'm hesitating whether or not I should buy the new DVDs or wait 'til I get a region-free blu player. :-k

Am I correct in saying that there are only three titles in MOC's Mizoguchi box that have also been released by Criterion?

If your order from a month ago hasn't shown up it was probably lost in the mail. Email [email protected] about it. They've always been very helpful and responsive when I've had issues.

Since it's the Lubitsch boxset, which to my understanding was delayed, I feel like giving it a week before e-mailing.

I really do think US Customs has begun slowing things down quite considerably.

I don't know, I've received amazon UK packages I ordered after ordering the Lubitsch set, but still no Lubitsch for me. I'm sure a part of that is the fact that there was a delay, although I guess I also wouldn't rule out the possibility that amazon packages are recognizable enough that they might get through customs faster.

I don't think Royal Mail are too hot at the moment either. HMV usually has DVDs to my door at the latest in 3 days but since Christmas that can be converted in to weeks [my Battle Royale took over 3 weeks and It's been 2 weeks and counting since they announced my Certified Copy had dispatched].

I ordered 4 DVDs from the 'price blitz' offers page; nothing yet. I've also received an Amazon UK order made since then - in fact, by some magic I received it in less than a week! However, my previous order from Amazon UK, placed in late October, took over a month to arrive.

I think the new TSA policies are likely affecting all inbound packages, though I do wonder if the packages that Eureka sends might not be marked clearly enough. Stamped customs forms seem like a great way to reduce waste (of both paper and time), but I've noticed that they're often nearly illegible. I've also never seen a return address on a package from them, though I don't know if that's of any consequence to US customs.

I'm going to wait it out a bit longer - I hate to ask Kevin to ship replacements for 4 DVDs!

Is Rocco ever happening on Criterion, or should I finally bite the bullet on this sale?

Dude, how have you possibly held out this long? It's one of MoC's best!

Re: delayed mail deliveries to the U.S., I heard second-hand that effective Nov. 2010 all packages and most mail entering the U.S. must be inspected in NY (due to terrorist threats). So deliveries that could previously be made in many locations in the U.S. can now only be made in a few. I don't believe this has been widely reported on, or if so I've missed it. Has anyone else heard this news. It'd explain a lot, I think. There were also some changes made to outgoing mail, so I heard. Haven't really needed full details of all this, myself, but would be curious to know more.

I'm guessing that most foreign orders that are not expedited (e.g. Fed Ex) or the like are now going to take about a month to arrive.

This is sad.

I've had troubles during the last 2 or 3 sales so I'm going to abstain from ordering if it's not something I really want.
