It's too good to be the eventual cover (points to Dillinger is Dead).

 what was I thinking. ](*,) Sorry about that.

Though to be honest, I loved the covers to Dillinger and Vivre sa vie, so either way, they haven't been horrible.

My first thought, "That will go great with my Pierrot poster!" [-o< I need help. It is one of the best posters I've seen lately.

Criterion just posted a new image of a film they were screening on their Twitter feed.

That's not Satantango, is it? Maybe not.

It isn't a bad guess, and of course that would be a dream come true, but I don't think it is. Those shots in that movie generally found our characters on a road of some sorts. Though, it's been years since I have sat through the entire thing.

Some folks on the Facebook page are saying Nanook Of The North, but I can't check until I get home from work.

Nanook's in sore need of an upgrade for the PQ alone, so this is most welcome.

Flaherty boxset? Or do Criterion not have the rights to the HVE titles?

Man of Aran and Louisiana Story do appear to have just recently gone OOP.

Could Tabu be a possibility? If it is being looked at for a blu-ray upgrade...who owns the rights in America these days?

And thinking about it some more, I don't recall any of the characters marching in the distance in Satantango....the shots were all much closer. Wishful thinking on my part.

Man of Aran and Louisiana Story both had Janus logos on the HVE boxes...I can't believe they've somehow lost the rights to those.

Milestone released a DVD (through Image) in 2002. Kino released a DVD in the Murnau box set in 2003.

The Kino release included the same Milestone/Image DVD that was released independently via Milestone/Image. It wasn't released under the Kino label.

They tweeted a Stalker still. I know occasionally they tweet about films they don't have plan releasing(like that Bergman/Jaws shot), but one can dream. And I seem to remember Kino stated they did not have the blu-ray right to Stalker?

That would be great, but unfortunately the screening of Stalker I saw this past weekend had no Janus logo (not that missing it necessarily means anything, but it's not a great sign).

If that's the actual cover than I hope no one complains on it. That piece looks lovely. Still holding out the false hope that they release Toujours as an extra.
