As predicted, not a single guess right, but I'm still pretty happy! At least now we won't hear the incessant cry of "Where's Y tu Mama Tambien" on the internet. I guess the fanboys can now fully move on to Eraserhead.

Very good month. Most thrilled about All That Jazz but may get Love Streams as well.

As much as I'm excited about these announcements, I still haven't been able to check out the special features due to "Application Errors" on their website. What is this, a flash sale?

I'm getting the special features up on the individual pages as we speak.

Ah, was the band in the New Year's drawing supposed to be All That Jazz?

Seems obvious in retrospect. It might have been suggested and shot down because everyone assumed Fox was releasing it themselves.

Oh silly me. I guess the woman cleaning up the blood was All That Jazz then.

Suggested, and promptly ignored.

Man, I'm stupid. Oh well, still looking forward to Gance's Napoleon, as that drawing of the ace in the hole so clearly suggested.

Strange, I thought it was for Napoleon Dynamite.

Actually, I loved all the indignantly bad guesses for the so obvious Love Streams. Sigh.

The Thin Red Line and Monsoon Wedding were announced without cover art, if I remember correctly. A Christmas Tale, too, I think.

Considering what a rush job Y Tu Mama was, I can see why they wouldn't have art ready yet.

From Screen International's website:

London-based Argentinean producer Paula Vaccaro is in town talking up an eclectic slate that includes a restored William S Burroughs doc and Emir Kusturica’s On The Milky Road.

Pinball London’s Vaccaro and Aaron Brookner serve as remastering producers on Burroughs: The Movie.

Brookner launched a Kickstarter campaign in late 2012 to restore the film, which his late uncle directed and remains the only feature doc about the Naked Lunch author, born 100 years ago.

Criterion is on board to release on DVD and Janus Film will distribute theatrically at the end of the year after Burroughs: The Movie returns to the New York Film Festival, the site of its world premiere 30 years ago.

Janus' Facebook account just posted what looks to be a Polish poster for Andrei Rublev. Here's to hoping...

That could be the greatest cover of the year, but they are not screening or something. I want to hope too, but what would the basis of my hoping? :(

I listened to the CriterionCast podcast and there was a line about Roeg's Don't Look Now possibly entering the Collection with proof found in instagram. Can anyone confirm this? After searching instagram I come up with nothing.

The Don't Look Now image that I mentioned on the podcast was posted on one of Criterion's employee's profiles. It wasn't the poster that I put up on our Tumblr, but a shot of them viewing the original negative.
