Is there a way to know if one's Carlos disc 2 is defective or not based on the packaging or disc cover?

Unsure about the packaging, but as for the disc :

Interesting. Got my reply, which instructed me to send disc 2 to NYC and the corrected one will be returned along with a $10 gift certificate. Not complaining, I'm just glad the fix was made. But I wonder why they're proceeding in two different ways on this.

When the replacement disc was first offered, I believe everyone got this treatment.

Good to know. My second disc was problematic if I remember correctly, but I never got around to replacing it.

Got the disc yesterday, which says Second Printing, and the sound is lovely. Very nice. Sadly, no gift certificate! :| But I just don't have it in me to go back and ask for that!

My memory may be faulty, but I believe they emailed the code to me when I got mine. You may want to check your emails from them and see if it was included somewhere.
