Shia just said on the MTV VMA's that the title is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Do we believe him or was he just full of it.

That title is just bad enough that I could believe it came from the mind of George Lucas.

Oh, I don't know, it has a pulpy, serial adventure ring to it that--if we recall the origins of this series--seems appropriate.

There is fine line between "pulpy" and "ridiculous".

There is? All my favourite pulp stuff is thoroughly ridiculous.

Like Attack of the Clones? A title that was one exclamation point (!) short of awesome?

Looks like it's official.

The title has a Harry Potter ring to it as in Harry Potter and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I still don't know if that is good or bad.

I think in the context of there being many Indiana Jones films (like Bond films), I could accept it. I doubt this will be the last movie. It's going to make a fortune, so I don't see how they won't milk that much further. And if they do, the title makes sense. However, if it's indeed the last film of the series, it's a terrible mistake; they should have just left it at Last Crusade and that's it...

I have a feeling they are setting up Shia LaBoeuf's character to take over the franchise.

Of course it won't. IESB reported a month or two ago that Ford and Lebouf already signed for a few more films and got in deep trouble for it.

Then what do they call it? Son of Indiana Jones?

So an extra has revealed "big spoilers" (aka stuff that everyone kind of figured out already).

Gee, a Russian skull, that's way better than having Indiana Jones go to Area 51. Not that the other movies were anything special to begin with but holy smokes they're just going out of their way for this to be a huge summer punchline

How does anyone who looks like this have a career in Hollywood?

Ford is looking his age in that picture, which, I'm convinced, is the reason they hired Lebouf. The latter looks like such a goof there that no one is going to be paying much attention to Ford's looks.

That's because LaBoeuf looks like he was cast in Krystal Kingdom Kommandos.

Really, how is this title any less ridiculous than the titles of the previous films? And what would have satisfied a more positive response from this board?

If it had starred any other cast member of Even Stevens
