Can anyone recommend any of his short films? I think they're all playing at Lincoln Center but programmed in groups:

Shorts Program 1: Worldly River
Apichatpong Weerasethakul 100 minutes
This program includes The Anthem (2006), La Punta (2013), M Hotel (2011), Emerald (2007), Sakda (Rousseau) (2012), Mobile Men (2008), Cactus River (2012), Cinetracts (2020), Footprints (2014), and Worldy Desires (2005).

Shorts Program 2: Haunted Ashes
Apichatpong Weerasethakul 101 minutes
This program includes Trailer for CinDi (2011), Ashes (2012), Vampire (2008), and Haunted Houses (2001).

Shorts Program 3: Luminous Empire
Apichatpong Weerasethakul 99 minutes
This program includes thirdworld(1997), Empire (2010), My Mother's Garden (2007), Ghost of Asia (2005), Monsoon (2011), Luminous People (2007), Nimit (2007), Blue (2018), and A Letter to Uncle Boonmee (2009).

Shorts Program 4: Vapour Lights
Apichatpong Weerasethakul 112 minutes
This program includes This and a Million More Lights (2003), Malee and the Boy (1999), Nokia Short (2003), Vapour (2015), Ablaze (2016), and Mekong Hotel (2012).

Of the ones I've seen, Blue and the Boonmee short in program 3 I liked the most (and the latter I regard to be one of his better works, short or feature-length). Did not much care for Vampire or Worldly Desires (the latter is quite long, too).

I saw another short I quite liked at an Apichatpong installation at Tate Modern in 2016. Google suggests it might be Vapour, but I'm not entirely certain.

Allow me to offer a contrasting review of Worldly Desires. Now I haven’t seen this digital camera filmed short in well over ten years so a lot of my memory of it is hazy, but I will never forget the dancing girl group that pop up repeatedly throughout the film in different parts of a spotlit jungle miming to a ridiculously catchy and cheesy Nadia pop song Will I Be Lucky?

Is it the greatest film of all time? No. But is it the second greatest film of all time, probably.

Orange = lukewarm
Red = did not like

Of these, Anthem is my favorite, followed closely by Ashes and Vampire.
