I've been catching up lately and Holy Shit yes, there are no words to describe it. WOW.
I rarely buy TV shows on DVD/Blu-ray (I think all I own is a few of the MST3K sets) but when this complete series comes out I'll be the first in line. Although I'm afraid with how amazing it is now that it'll take a bad turn, but I'm an eternal pessimist.

Considering there's only one more season, the show has attained new heights the last two, and the writers have had plenty of lead time to work toward a resolution of the series, I wouldn't fret.

Ah, didn't know there was only one more. I take back what I said, I don't want it to end!

Should be noted that between this show and Terriers, Christopher Cousins (Ted Beneke) is on a hot streak for the prize of most unfortunate accidental deaths on television.

Officially caught up on the show now. Went above my expectations, and will forever kick myself for missing out on what I skipped by in favor of other less worthy shows. Just glad I came in time for what will be AFAIK the last season(s?) of the show.

What lose ends are left for season 5? I can think of all of the following:
* Cancer
* Jesse discovering the truth about Walt's involvement with the death of Jane, poisoning of Brock
* Hank's investigation into Heisenberg
* Mike's return from Mexico
* Law enforcement investigation of season 4's endgame, Gus, etc.
* Ricin investigation
* Cartel payback
* "German multinational whatever"
* APD investigation of various season 3 and 4 murders committed by Jesse and Walt
* The IRS and Ted, Ted's death
That's a lot of ground to cover even if Walt doesn't make a move to take over Gus' empire. But I love the fact that the series could have ended with season 4, even with all of this going on; excellent, excellent control of plot.
I think one thing we'll see is Walt Jr. discovering his father's dark side for himself. I can imagine that the bullies from the first episode re-appear looking for payback and Walt blows them away. Maybe not as exact, but something like that.

One of the biggest matza balls hanging over the show, something that's been untouched since season 3:
The Heisenberg sketch. The twins visit it in Mexico. It appears in the house of the woman they killed; where they axed the cop.
THAT HAS TO TURN UP.
But who drew it. Who delivered it to the Santa Muerte shrine?

Season 4 on Blu-ray June 5th. And it may have the best special feature in recent memory...

In a scene straight out of Do the Right Thing 2, Giancarlo "Gus Fring" Esposito was almost
arrested when (possibly racist) cops mistook him for an African-American in a hoodie (please note he was wearing a suit at the time). Sadly, an officer recognized him not from Breaking Bad, but from Once Upon A Time.
