The cover of Pierrot le Fou is fantastic. My favourite ever!

That Walker cover is seriously ugly. In a "don't buy me!" way. It must be deliberate.

I'm glad they stuck with the Rialto poster on Pierrot. The Last Emperor works, but just too much empty black space. The Walker cover is nice, perhaps more impressive than the film.

I can't make up my mind on Walker...I like the concept, but the execution's sorely lacking.
Quite fond of Emperor and Pierrot, though.

wow, Pierrot coming before 2 or 3 things...
I absolutely love the Pierrot cover. I think it's one of the absolute best in the collection and if I didn't already love this film or this director, this cover alone would be enough to drive me to see this.

So, does Domino Harvey get some kind of award for guessing the color of the Lubitsch box correctly?

No -- we're never going to hear the end of it anyway.

Best part is I subconsciously just stole what color it was going to be from
What A Disgrace. So allow me to give credit for something no one cares about where credit for something no one cares about is due!

I wish the other Eclipses did their covers like in the Ozu set.

I don't know if I like the tag being askew like a "Hawaii" sticker on luggage. Looks kinda dumb.

Any idea as to the method behind there rotating cover schemes?

I really like the Pierrot Le Fou cover with the blank space and the characters pushed to the edge of the frame but still managing to include the important elements of the guy, the girl and the gun!
The Last Emperor cover is an obvious choice but it is beautifully done in taking the moment before Pu Yi sees his subjects - those last moment of security of childish happiness before he becomes conscious of the expectations put upon him and aware of the prison of his privilege as his every action is scrutinised.
I also like Walker with what looks like a newspaper background and the stylised version of Ed Harris as well as the hint that this film is meant to be as much a contemporary as well as historical comment in the treatment of the title. This is one cover I would really like to come in a digipack - it is difficult to describe but the rougher texture of a digipack seems would seem to be appropriate for that cover.

I like the concept of the Walker cover but the font choices are horrible.

That WALKER cover may be the biggest abomination in the collection. The color temperatures competing for your attention with the title, the doofy simplification of Harris' head making him look like Schlitzie the Pinhead w a hat, all the distractions in the background drawing your eyes every which way.. it's the biggest structural/color-compositional mess I've ever seen in a high end digital product.

That Walker cover? WTF!
To call it amateurish would be a compliment.

There are things that I like about it...like I get the idea of what they are trying to go for but I do hope for some fine-tuning by release date...

Perhaps you'll want to revisit the
nine-page thread that was solely on this cover.

In this case a picture is definitely worth a thousand words.

I still love that cover with all my heart, you can read calls for my being banned from the forum near the end of that thread.
