Nolan hasn’t got the wit to “nuke the fridge” (Spielberg’s rich, still-misunderstood anthropological jest). But in commercial terms, the way Nolan turns comic book frivolity into hipster nihilism drops a bomb on our cultural economy.
just to be sure that everyone on earth is pissed at his review, he also calls Nolan's three batman movies the worst trilogy since Lord of the Rings. And he slams Avengers in nearly every paragraph.

White Chicks? All kidding aside, that's a fairly safe, but respectable list. While none of those films would make my tops ten, it's easy to see how one could seriously make a case for any of them (although I have to admit to having never seen
Nouvelle Vague).

The funny thing is, three other critics included A.I. on their list - Armond could have given it a real shot in the arm if he'd included it too

Upcoming work by Kanye West, Iris DeMent, Paul W.S. Anderson and the Taviani brothers, whose Caesar Must Die premieres at the New York Film Festival, could show work that goes beyond seasonal hype. They could bring fresh thinking—and real feeling—back to culture.
This is almost certainly the first time Paul W.S. Anderson and the Tavianis have ever been cited in the same sentence, let alone praised for the same reasons.
