At least it fits the rest of the catalogue. I don't know what on earth that Save Your Legs thing is or where it came from. I'm just happy about the Loach double bill and more Allen (the Cukor is nice too).

It came from the land down under—and if there's one thing North Americans are clamoring for, it's an Australian comedy about a suburban cricket league. Have your credit cards out the moment this one goes on sale at SAE!
With most films directed by Kramer, the fact that they were directed by Kramer is among the least interesting things to note about them. I'd be interested to finally check this out, not for anything to do with Kramer but mainly to see Quinn and Magnani as well as another example of Giuseppe Rotunno's '60s era cinematography.
I'm inclined to get the Loach double feature, but I wonder what the chances are that a Loach Blu-ray box set will come out in the UK.

Is they're releasing radio days it seems they're not getting the bigger Allens, like Purple Rose of Cairo.

Damnit, they keep getting all the good 80s Allen. I swear, their next one is going to be either Purple Rose of Cairo or Another Woman, just to make me consider doing business with them.

Channel 4 seem to have suspended their catalog Blu-ray releasing back in 2012, so I wouldn't bet on it. I suppose the BFI might licence them. Still, at $15 each an eventual double dip wouldn't be the end of the world.

Maybe because McQ is with Warner?

I'll definitely grab Born Yesterday, Radio Days and The Buddy Holly Story. Need to see all the others.

Um, Crimes and Misdemeanors?

"Bigger Woody Allen" seems kind of arbitrary. I consider both Crimes and Misdemeanors and Broadway Danny Rose to be major titles, and both better than Purple Rose of Cairo.

Not that I spend much time thinking about such things, but my sidelined perspective was that
Crimes and Misdemeanours was one of Allen's 'biggest' films: a substantial hit with three Oscar nominations. Checking out box office figures, it was indeed his most successful film between
Manhattan and
Vicky Cristina Barcelona (nearly a thirty year span!) apart from
Hannah and Her Sisters. In other words, bigger by any measure than
Purple Rose of Cairo (which only got one Oscar nomination, and nothing as high profile as
Crimes and Misdemeanors' directing and acting nods).

Twilight Time wrote:These 4 new titles are moving very briskly - best not to wait.
THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT (less than 700 remain.)
WILD AT HEART
USED CARS
BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA
The following titles all fall into the 500 - 700 remaining category:
MY COUSIN RACHEL (DVD)
BELL, BOOK, AND CANDLE
AS GOOD AS IT GETS
THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES
BYE BYE BIRDIE
THE BLUE LAGOON
EXPERIMENT IN TERROR
OUR MAN FLINT
LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN
HARD TIMES
THE DRIVER
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE
For those wanting Used Cars, TT is your only outlet. Alfredo Garcia is available in Italy but it is missing the special features from the TT disc. Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is coming from Second Sight in the UK June 23rd. Wild at Heart is available in the UK, with a different set of extra features, but has a messed up 5.1 track (presumably the 2.0 is fine) and is slightly inferior compression wise, at least according to Beaver.

Sigh, this is the first I'm hearing about Twilight Time releasing Wild at Heart. Can anyone comment on the supplements? I have the initial Blu-ray release from the UK (meaning it doesn't have the screwed up audio of the re-release, but it's featureless)

From what I understand (haven't bought it yet), it's got all of the extras from the R1 MGM DVD. The Beaver review is in-depth about which specific features they are and what they entail.
