Don't they consider Fanfan la Tulipe "fun"?
I dare you to find me someone who had fun watching Fanfan.

Amazon.ca seems to be the only retailer selling this title at its usual price. Shipping is pricey for those living in the U.S., though.
domino harvey wrote:Ball of Fire is listed as in print but it appears to be OOP and going for $30+ at Amazon. I wonder, is it too much to dream that Criterion licensed it and A Song is Born for a Killers-esque double-feature?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they both Samuel Goldwyn licensed titles?

Speaking of A Song is Born, that too seems to have gone out of print, selling for over $30 used. Amazon.ca still has it in stock.

Most of them, I think.
And at two-fer $10.39 worth jumping on rather than waiting till they hit Big Lots or the Walmart dump bin.
Well, there goes this week's paycheck...

P & P's Gone to Earth is now OOP. I cannot believe that this UK release commands such outrageous prices just months after I purchased it for a mere £3!. The transfer is a beauty, apparently the Disney people were responsible for it, but then decided not to issue it for some inexplicable reason. Later on it was picked up by this English distributor. If one is lucky, one might be able to track it down w/o having to pay a small fortune for the disc.

Possibly this belongs in the "Rediculous" thread, but I checked Amazon for prices on GONE TO EARTH and found this:
"Powell and Pressburger knew how to shock the audience with the direction of movies that featured unique plots that were, at that time, up-tapped into."
Whaaaat?

Has HVE's disc of Kurosawa's Charisma gone OOP? I'm buying it Marketplace in any case, but it's not on Amazon anymore.

Millennium Actress, apparently. Anyone have any idea why this went out of print?

I seriously doubt it is because of Satoshi Kon's death. I think it's because it was a Dreamworks/Paramount release.

The UK version is still easy to get.

Alice Adams and the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde flipper also appear to have gone out of print. I wonder if some of these are going to be rereleased in keep-cases. The snapper of Cukor's Little Women went OOP a while back but was re-released in August in an amaray.

Bullitt was just re-released Tuesday in a single-disc barebones edition.

More likey that they'll reappear in those TCM 4-packs. The Tracy Jekyll & Hyde already has.

The Evil Dead Limited Edition Blu-ray.

As stated in the article, the single-disc Blu-ray will still be available with the film and commentary, but the second disc of extras will not be available (although they were pretty much all ported over from previous DVD editions).

Nice to see a limited edition that's actually limited.

If it's Evil Dead, don't worry: there'll be another ultimate limited edition along in 12 months.

Can't be sure with WB any more, but some of these will probably re-appear in keep cases before too long.

Yeah, with Anchor Bay and the EVIL DEAD films, it's more like Limitless Editions...
