It's very good. I certainly seems much better than the Shameless disc.
The Severin disc looks pretty much on par with what Arrow would have outputted with this kind of new 4K scan. In motion, it definitely looked film-like, though the photo increases the grain heaviness (I'm fine with it, but some might find it slightly distracting). Color grading seemed fine to me, though it sometimes looked a bit flat.

Did those who purchased the set during Black Friday already receive their orders?

They told on Dec 24th that : "Just a heads up, we hit a snag with the All the Colors of Giallo release, so any orders containing that set will probably be delayed a couple of weeks. Very sorry!"
Then on Dec 27th : "UPDATE ON BLACK FRIDAY ORDERS: We have begun shipping orders out that contain our All the Colors of the Dark Blu-ray release and/or Mondo Weirdo Collection. Orders containing the individual Mondo releases have also begun shipping. Skinner will be next. Our distributor has nearly completed finished goods and will be shipping to our warehouse in about a week. Our All of the Colors of Giallo release has experienced a few minor hiccups, so all orders containing this set (including orders containing any of our 3 Black Friday bundles) will not begin shipping until mid January. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
I believe they have now started shipping, but I'm unsure if people received them already.

And from 8th January:
UPDATE ON BLACK FRIDAY ORDERS: We have begun shipping out orders that contain our exclusive SKINNER Blu-ray w/LE Slipcover.
Any order containing our ALL THE COLORS OF GIALLO release will still be on hold. Our distributor has them in production and will ship them to our warehouse hopefully by the end of next week. After that, we can begin the final phase of completing your pending Black Friday pre-orders.

Anybody know of a good place to get the Blood Island Collection? Amazon.com seems to have some still but I’d prefer to shop elsewhere.

I think it is sold out everywhere else.

Yeah, Amazon's apparently the only place left online that has any stock.

Thanks for the response. This is very encouraging. Can’t wait til mine ships & arrives.

Now I can’t decide what to do. I could definitely get a set from Amazon.com or wait for Amazon.ca to get back to me, where I have an order but the set is currently listed as unavailable (but is also $30-40 cheaper). If Amazon.com has stock is there a chance that Amazon.ca might have some too? I never know how closely related the sites are in terms of stock and availability.

Buy two, wait for it to go OOP, then sell the spare copy for enough to bring the net cost for the one you keep to what you consider a reasonable level

That’s good advice. It’s basically OOP already at this point so prices are bound to go up. And that way if Amazon.ca never delivers, I still have a copy.

Watched it. Enjoyed it, as I’ve enjoyed all the Martinos I’ve seen, Your Vice..., Scorpion’s Tail, Torso.
These films are all worth revisiting, not only for the skill with which they’re mounted, but also style and subtext.
Very healthy and natural-looking transfer. This is good work.
Okay, when are Arrow Video USA releasing Wardh?

That Hemisphere set has some of the best cover art I've seen in a while!

And the
Amazon listing is 'currently unavailable'.

Does anyone know if Severin charges right away or at the time of shipping?
EDIT-Never mind, looks like they collect right away. It says the Hemisphere box is in stock, has it shipped for anyone yet? Likely not, but the product page does say in stock.

I could be remembering wrong, but based on last year's Black Friday order I placed with them, I think theirs is one of those sites that lists pre-order items as "in stock" as that's the only way it can deal with keeping track of stock numbers?

Freak-O-Rama posted on facebook that they interviewed Alex De La Iglesia for future Severin releases of two of his films.

Interesting. Presumably his first two films
Acción Mutante and the fantastic
The Day of the Beast.
Though I would be happy with any of the later ones as well.
Perdita Durango would be perhaps the biggest coup being based on a Barry Gifford story that is furthering the story of a supporting character originally played by Isabella Rossellini in David Lynch's Wild At Heart. (I would also quite like to see
El Bar at some point)

I last saw Fulci's Devil's Honey. Pretty insane. Not that many Italian movies actually remind me of 80's fumetti per adulti stories, but this one could have been straight out of pages of an Attualita' Nera issue.

And I really liked the astonishing
Wild Beasts, though you have to be OK with a bit of unfaked animal violence.
