Thanks to all and keep the recommendations coming. The Archival Treasures series* was at the top of my must-see list, along with Soredemo Boku Wa Yattenai, among others, but unfortunately, time restrictions apply, so it will be impossible to see everything. Plus, if a film has or will likely find distribution, it will be nixed.

*Once upon a time, they ran a free retro series at 8am, but sadly, those days are long gone.

John August ponders his Sundance experience and the failure of The Nines. It's interesting that he doesn't consider, that maybe, just maybe, his film just wasn't good. I remember seeing the trailer for this film and thinking it looked ridiculous.

I actually think that's a pretty mature and interesting article that raises some interesting questions-- it's common for musicians to be so cavalier about their albums leaking but I don't think I've ever read of a director lamenting that he didn't leak his own movie!
