No. Just an order confirmation

Wow, half hour after checking to see if Parallax View blus were still in stock - now it's sold out. No running low icon when I checked earlier either.

Surely they knew that this was going to be the one title in everyone's order, with this year's flash sale having less high-profile titles vs other Feb sales, so that seems like poor planning

Speaking of things selling out I noticed my Jeanne Dielman blu was suddenly listed as backordered after checking my order status a half hour or so after placing. I must have nabbed one of the remaining few copies though since I got my order confirmation email and it and Trilogy of Life are both being packed for shipment at once. Got lucky there I suppose.

Parallax View blus are back in stock! Guess it was a glitch. But yeah twbb the same thought also came to me. Very quickly ordered it with the Chopra and Sembene films just in case.

Ordered Smooth Talk and Prince of Tides, and then they sent me a $50 gift code so I went back and got Moonstruck and Husbands too. And that’s my single biggest haul in a long time (well, unless you count the Fellini box as fifteen films instead of one box).

Leaning towards Oshima's Outlaw Sixties and maybe a few others. It's hard to decide, as I have limited space, and certain titles seem to be able to stream indefinitely.

Don't think I've ever seen so many titles sell out so quickly before during a sale. I got my order in for the Varda set right away, and then I had to get back to work. A few hours later, most of the titles I wanted were gone.

I got a $50 certificate from Criterion based on my purchases from this sale. Are there any other flash sales between now and the B&N sale? I don’t think so, right?

No they occur twice a year, once around Feb/March and once around Sept/Oct. Sometimes there's another additional random sale that includes pre-orders or miscellaneous swag but it's usually like 30% off and nothing to depend upon.

got shipping confirmation earlier today with estimated delivery for saturday. Does Criterion use USPS for expedited? if so they bumped me up even though I chose free shipping.

Mine is out for delivery already but it's the Fellini box. I ordered Tuesday so I'm very surprised. Living a few hundred miles from the warehouse hasn't been this beneficial before! Unless they expedite delivery already for the Fellini/Varda/Bergman boxes?

I just got my delivery of the Fellini Box. It was packed pretty well but it had a slight indentation that almost looks like a paper clip on the box cover. I can live with that. Also, there were 5 discs out of their pockets, with some having very light scratches. Sigh

My order came in yesterday. Unfortunately, many of the inserts were torn in some way, with Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! having it the worst. But I'm happy to have them!

I really hate that pocket design in general. In Japan, they often put their discs in scratch-free sleeves before sticking them into any cardboard pockets or mini-LP sleeves - I really wish that would catch on here.

30% off all discs (including pre-orders) for the month of May, on Criterion's site. Looks like Unobstructed View is doing web updates, so hopefully the sale carries over to Canada too.

30% off seems like a typical everyday price, only a sucker would pay full MSRP.

I just checked and the sale does go to Canada, but the shipping costs and conversion rarely make it worth it.

Of course I pull the trigger on my order this past Friday, thinking there won’t be a discount any time soon. On the plus side, Irma Vep and Memories of Murder already arrived today.

Why pay 30% when there is 50%...come on Criterion

The people at the Criterion subreddit appear to buy direct from the store all throughout the year. I think it's either a phase or they're doing it for karma points. Suffice to say, a 30% off sale is something they're very happy about.

Well, who knows, for anyone jumping on the sale, maybe someone's birthday is around the corner and they have to buy that gift now whereas the next 50% sale is a long ways off.
