Also, is no one else nervous about the fate of future WCF volumes from Criterion, given that MoC has run into "contractual problems" with their own WCF series?

It's probably planned to be a December thing for them so we have at least that long to really begin to worry. Plus they have enough films up on Hulu to suggest another boxset.

What unreleased WCF films do they have up on Hulu now?

Yes, and just to drive the point home, the title of Criterion's set refers to Scorsese's WCP whereas MoC's refers to the World Cinema Foundation. BUT the news about Sayat Nova originally stated that the restoration was by the World Cinema Fund, another entity entirely. Here is their website.

Given the link I just referenced in an earlier post though, I suspect that that original article may have been mistaken, and that it was in fact the World Cinema Foundation/Project that restored the film.

It looks like the Tootsie rumors are true/it will probably be announced for November.

Time Bandits will probably be announced over the next two 15ths as well.

November is traditionally their biggest release month, to take advantage of the full holiday shopping season. Though December has traditionally been their smallest release month, they sometimes release box sets then.

Maybe they could release it next year. Criterion released it on laserdisc, so maybe Sony could license it to Criterion so that they could make a Blu-ray with more bonus features.

I think it's mostly conjecture, but I could be wrong. Some people thought that the 10-story apartment building from last year's New Year's drawing was a clue.

BAMcinématek and Criterion are promoting a "pictures with Chris Marker's cat" contest on Twitter. Any chance of getting more Marker soon?

They did just release as part of a festival Level Five.

Also, wasn't there a confirmation recently that we'd see A Master Builder soon? Did that mean "announced tomorrow" soon? Or will it be a few months down the road?
