Nope. As I've just received Filmmuseum's "Die freudlose Gasse" and feel completely knocked out by the sheer amount of historical and critical material provided in the form of pdf-files, on-screen extras, audio recordings, booklet, and then considering the kind of films they release (with more Vertov, Barnet, and many other unknown and elsewhere completely unavailable silents in preparation), I have to say: these people are completely unparalleled at the moment.
But everyone knows that I love MoC very much, too.

I'm with Tomasso, at least for this year. I just got the Kluge box set along with the Pabst and a couple other titles. The Kluge is the box set of the decade. Hands-down. No other company is releasing stellar editions of films that are completely unavailable on DVD anywhere else in the world.

But it's hard these days for a company like MoC to be releasing such films. They did it in the beginning (Michael, for example), but these titles are becoming fewer and fewer and harder to come by in acceptable condition. If MoC could release Page of Madness or Tih Minh, that would be a coup!

What MoC is doing this year, however, is also joyously great. The Blu-rays alone are cause for real celebration. The Pialats, the wonderful Mabuse set, the Murnaus, and the upcoming Lubitsch box--these are among the finest releases of the year.

For sure, and let's not forget that MoC actually have to make profit, unlike the state-funded Filmmuseum (and of course Filmmuseum's discs are much more expensive, too). Absolutely no complaint about MoC, then.

I wonder what's keeping any company around the world from releasing these. Both films exist in quite acceptable condition as far as I can see; and "A Page of Madness" has such a legendary status that I guess it would even sell rather well.

Count me in for a MoC edition of Page of Madness! I've heard so much about the movie, but have never been able to see it!
