Stefan Andersson wrote:what with AE announcing a lot of upcoming Truffaut, and Arrow delving into the MGM/UA catalogue -- how about The Bride Wore Black, Siren of Mississippi, Fahrenheit 451, Story of Adele H. and The Green Room? Either from Arrow or from Kino Lorber, on Region A Blu. They now license MGM/UA titles.
Arrow's Francesco Simeoni recently tweeted that they were going to licence The Green Room until they discovered that there was no HD master. I think he also said some/all of the other MGM titles have been licensed by someone else.

In memory of Bob Hoskins, I'd like to suggest Felicia's Journey (1999, Atom Egoyan) for a Blu-Ray. Icon used to put it out on DVD in the wrong aspect ratio and they seem to have gone out of business or possibly their rights have expired? Would be a nice addition to Arrow Academy.

I wonder if the notion that Marker edited the film could be a misunderstanding due to the false friend
éditeur, which means publisher or distributor, not (in a film context) editor. Like you said, Argos Films was the French distributor, and I'm not sure if Marker ever actually owned or ran the company but I think some people at least thought he did.

I'd be curious to find out whether any UK company had plans to release Footsteps, the first film by Gareth Edwards. It got a US DVD release a number of years ago
by Unearthed films but so far nothing in the UK.

That's directed by
Garreth Evans, who did the
Raid films, not
Gareth Edwards of
Monsters/
Godzilla

It appears that Come and See is out of print, so it would be fantastic if Arrow could put together an Elem Klimov box set a la their fantastic Borowczyk project. Klimov's small filmography, coupled with the fact that all of his features are owned by Mosfilm, could mean that a complete set is feasible.

Metrodome already re-released this under the title Vengeance Day in 2012, the DVD can be had pretty cheaply.

Cult or underappreciated films licensed to Twilight Time in the US seem to show up on Arrow pretty frequently, so I have my fingers crossed for Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia...

Dear Arrow
I'd like Carol Reed's A Kid For Two Farthings (part of the ITV catalogue; surely they've got round to a HD master by now?) on BD and in original AR widescreen please.

I wonder what the odds are of Arrow putting out Brian Yuzna's Society. It was recently restored and I see that Synapse has Blu-ray rights in the U.S.

Second Sight have been planning a release for at least a year or so, and set a date of 31st of March, but their last update was that they had to postpone indefinitely due to "circumstances beyond our control".

None, I suspect, since Second Sight recently postponed its UK release for unspecified rights reasons.

Does anyone know who now owns the rights to Leos Carax's Les Amants du Pont-Neuf? On their Facebook page, Arrow says they no longer have it.

Can I ask, is
Synapse having the rights something they've mentioned themselves, or is it another unfounded online rumor like a little while back with
Dawn of the Dead? Would love it to be the former, and I feel like I remember Don May Jr said he'd been in touch with Brian Yuzna in a recent interview (or Facebook post).

All I know is that the film's IMDb page lists Synapse as having acquired BD distribution rights in the U.S. this year.

Not sure who own(s) the home video rights to these two films in UK, but I would love to see Arrow releasing them -
The Doberman Gang (1972) by Byron Chudnow
Savage Harvest (1981) by Robert L. Collins

Michael Cimino's Year of the Dragon (1985) would be great; not only would it fit right into the Arrow catalogue, but it is also crying out for an extras-packed release.
