it let me pick the UPS shipping, which had a price listed, but ended up being free. also no sales tax for NC

Happiness even sold out of the BD. needless to say, clearly the people have spoken! more Solondz for all!

Interesting - I wonder if the lack of sales tax is a mistake (or they found some kind of loophole that means they don't have to collect anymore)?

Just picked up some more Malick during the sale! Had $50 gift card!

My order arrived today complete with Happiness, not much longer than the time frame I usually encounter, not bad.
If only my new M4 Mac Mini would arrive that fast, looks like that's going to take over a month.

Regarding points for the $50 gift card: below your current total of points it says you need 500 to get the $50 card but i already have over 500. The green bar only fills up at 1000 points and I didn't see an option to redeem my existing 500 points. Am I missing something (quite possible) or is the actual threshold 1000 points and they need to amend the statement on the site?

Not sure if this is helpful, but here's what I have on my account:

The number under "Loyalty points" is my lifetime accumulated total and not the number of unredeemed points.

Then below it tells me how many points I need to get my next $50 certificate. Once I hit that number, I get a $50 certificate emailed to me. Based on the last sale and the certificate I received, it was definitely still a $500/500 point threshold to get a $50 certificate.

To calculate the current number of points I have, I have to subtract the number of points need for the next certificate from 500.

That makes sense actually. Thank you jheez!

Speaking of gift certificates, do they ever expire? I noticed I hadn't used one that i missed from a year or so ago. Guess I should go back through all my emails to make sure i've used all mine before the next sale. Have there been any bonus certificates besides the once a year thank you for subscribing & the $50 ones?

They shouldn't expire

They sent out a couple for purchasers of some releases that had to be fixed - Citizen Kane was one

In case anyone is interested, to celebrate the 40th year of Criterion they have released a few new designs for tote bags.

they're running their usual 30% off sale before Christmas, runs until the 23rd. depending on reviews for Paris, Texas and 8 1/2 I'll consider not being patient til March, as those are two huge favorites

The 30% off sale is good for preorders or December and beyond releases, but Amazon is still running the 50% off sale from November for titles eligible during that month and before

30% sale on 4Ks through February 17. Hopefully the one day 50% off on everything is still going to be a thing at the end of the month.

It always happens on a Tuesday, so it could very well be as early as next Tuesday based on that date

would personally love a March flash sale, as that slate is more my taste...

I could see it being on the 18th, there's few 'huge' releases coming across the next two months to make an easier prediction

I think it'll be the 24th. I can't see them having the 50% sale right on the heels of the previous sale and the 18th is a Wednesday.

Hm. Guess the sale is not on today. Noon came and went and nothing on the site.

We'd know ahead of time because channel subscribers would receive a $10 gift certificate the day before.

Mine just came through. Is this the first time a gift code has an expiration date?

First time I've ever seen a expiry. A year from the Flash Sale. I've gotten in the habit of tracking them in a spreadsheet, otherwise I always end up going through 3 years worth of emails trying out codes unsure if I had used them.
