Tax time.
Or teabagging time; take your pick.
I'm guessing this is the month we finally get
Vivre sa vie.

Wings of Desire and possible other Wenders releases seem like a decent bet for July.

With this July seeing the fortieth anniversary of the first Moon landing, I expect that For All Mankind will be one of Criterion's Blu-ray releases for that month.

Time for my monthly Gorin Box prediction. I'm so used to guessing it by now that once they finally release it I'm sure I'll still be bringing it up every month

What about
Alice in the Cities? I'm predicting a Wenders boxset in the upcoming announcement.

Huge titles like that? Nah, they'll be side by side spines. I predict Wenders X2, Monterey Pop, the Cook... and maybe Walkabout, plus one of the Eclipses we were promised from the first wave

I see Walkabout coming out alongside Insignificance, a la The Man Who Fell to Earth and Bad Timing.

edit: re: wenders
Yeah that'd be an odd mix of films.
Though they could call it something like, um, <snark> "The Rise and Decline of Wim Wenders" </snark>

The Agnes box had two "huge titles" (Cleo, Vagabond). I don't think a box is out of the question. Although, I don't understand why they would box Alice with the other two Wenders titles since Alice is part of its own Trilogy (Alice, Wrong Move, Kings of the Road).

Revanche is a good call. I wouldn't be surprised to see that.

It's not even hitting U.S. theaters
until May. I think it will be a while.

A
Don't Look Now announcement would make me squeal like a teenage fangirl.
Walkabout would be welcome too.

The Criterion site has
Deep Crimson available for viewing online. Have they been making films available online that they haven't released on DVD yet? Apologies if everyone but me knew about this, but I suspect this is a pretty good indication that they're going to release this at some point.

Didn't we shut down the old "Criterion Sweepstakes / Guess What They're Releasing Next Month" thread because it was - I dunno - annoying and pointless? Or maybe it was because nobody who got it right ever won a cake.

You're right, we did use to have a "Guess the June Releases" type thread every month. And then we deleted it when they got announced. Looking at how quickly this thread fills up with useless comments, it might not be a bad idea to go back to that system. I mean, I like speculation... up to a POINT.

I kinda like it all in one place (even at 69 pages) but if the topic was deleted after each announcement, or merged into one locked thread, that might not be so bad.
