I've long had a theory that the booklet cover = their 2nd choice for front cover.

If you start looking at releases and then the booklet, it starts to make sense!

This was from an email from Criterion customer service.

“These are the components we are going to be packing up for you and shipping in the coming weeks:
• a new booklet
• a new (slightly wider) slipcase
• a new digipak with plastic 2-disc tray”

There were images they sent that didn’t show up. If anyone else got the email with the images please post.

Buckle up
I wish we had thought to save all those and repost them with more reliable image hosts
Archive.org may be your savior, but I'm too lazy to check for it myself.

Email from Criterion with working pictures:
Hi,

Thank you for submitting your request for replacement ALL ABOUT EVE Blu-ray packaging.

Since there was some confusion on select form entries, I wanted to send you a snapshot of exactly what you are due to receive as part of this replacement packaging offer.

These are the components we are going to be packing up for you and shipping in the coming weeks:
• a new booklet
• a new (slightly wider) slipcase
• a new digipak with plastic 2-disc tray

We are sending you all 3 components regardless of what you entered on the form so you do not need to correct or resubmit your information.

We are not providing plastic cases for this release nor do we have litho ALL ABOUT EVE Blu-Ray cover art.

These will be folded up prior to mailing (booklet inside digipak, digipak inside slipcase) and will be mailed like this:

Shipments will start going out week of January 6th and be processed on a rolling basis, throughout that month.

As some of you may know, we are a small team but you can be sure we'll get your replacements to you as quickly and efficiently as possible. If there's any delay, we will be sure to alert you.

Tracking will be emailed to you as soon as it's available.

Thank you for your patience and Happy Holidays!

They aren't loading. Looks like you tried copy/pasting from your email account directly, which has some fancy encryption stuff to keep stuff like this from happening to people who have more embarrassing things to share with others.

Save the pictures to your computer, then reupload the pictures to a site like Imgur. That should work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the artwork for "The Grand Budapest Hotel" the first time they've allowed the Wacky C to be placed in a different position?

EDIT: And thanks to therewillbeblus, I see that there's a goldfish in front of the side branding. Is that the first time they've messed with that as well?

I imagine it will be a fun digipak with the characters on a lower plane in a different setting. Think it’ll work out in person!

Of the two, the Anderson is the cover making you say "oof"?

Not even close. It's much better then the Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and Darjeeling Limited covers.

The Me and You and Everyone We Know cover is wild, especially that goldfish placement. I don't know how I'll feel about it in the long run, but it's inspired and I kinda love it

Anyone who thinks that cover is better than Rushmore needs to seek medical help
