Those aren't even domino-specific peeves, but forum-wide punchlines. What is this, a Comedy Central roast?

Monday's announcement: they got the rights to the StudioCanal films back, but they're doing a Kickstarter to raise money to release them on burned DVDs with no booklets.

I think at that point Chris would just delete the board and redirect to Mubi

They were asked about those Troell films, and the answer was "I loved those films, and would love to work on them, and we've tried, but haven't had any luck."
I know Warner Bros holds the rights to at least one of those films, if not both. So they may actually be part of any Warners deal.

I'm going to say that Watership Down will be a while away. From what I understand, Janus is making a new print to tour around first, but it hasn't been announced yet.

I just really hope they got
The Plague Dogs alongside
Watership Down and are sitting on it until work on that is done.

I just want another Chaplin. It's been way too long (City Lights came out last Nov.)

I would be surprised not to see a Chaplin announced this month or next.

Glad that An Autumn Afternoon is one of the three BFI blu-rays I don't own. Will gladly pick up the 4k edition from Criterion.

The great thing about these new Ozu transfers being released is that they don't render the BFI versions obsolete. Quite happy to keep my copy for A Hen in the Wind.

Is anyone else seeing A Day in the Country anywhere on the site? It's mentioned on the homepage banner announcement, but it's not in the Coming Soon list. Should I just be patient?

Happy with those announcements: 4k transfers for An Autumn Afternoon and Don't Look Now (hopefully now without watercolours and with fixed audio), and Renoir's A Day in the Country.

Whoa didn't see A Day in The Country, but that's wonderful news. A bit disappointing on the price-point for a 40 minute feature, even if there's an hour and a half long doc. I may end up picking up most of this month's releases for either my wife or myself.

Wow, February looks great! I might have to pick them all up. I can't even prioritize what I'm most excited about.
