I just took some CC blus I’m gonna watch during isolation from my shelf to my coffee table, and I noticed that War and Peace doesn’t have the year on the cover! I wonder if that was an oversight or intentional, and are there others without it?

It does have the year on the cover. Upper right on the back. 1966-67.

Right, but it's commonly on the front cover as well, except for multi-film sets, which I guess they're counting this as

Is it new information that Stray Dog now has a wacky C on the website? (Listings everywhere else still show the old logo.)

I can vouch, yes. It does. I ordered it with a coupon for my uncle who likes it. It came in a clear case, with the disc also having a wacky C. Some titles are getting this treatment, with my first encounter being a
Viridiana copy I bought during the flash sale last year. These discs though retain the old menus, not the newer menus.

Maybe not multi-films, but maybe multi-year ?

Similar to the Fanny and Alexander set, the Rohmer set drops the spine numbers for the individual titles.

Or the new mis-sized Six Moral Tales box collector's item. They don't seem to have much luck with this release!
