Yay! I hope it carries over the commentary and deleted scenes from the DVD.

Great! That’s the last Cronenberg feature to make it to Blu-ray.

This is excellent news. I was hoping for this, though it's not really a surprise it took so long. (I rarely saw anyone carrying the DVD.)

It's also notable as Richard Lester's feature debut; I wondered if Indicator might do it but I seem to remember them saying they didn't have it, but that was a few years ago now.

I was hoping for something better than a MOD given the new restoration.

Anyone receive their City of Hope BR yet, and if so, just wondering if it's pressed or MOD. Thanks in advance!

Shipments to Canadian retailers seem to be delayed, unfortunately. So excited to revisit this. I haven't seen it since it was broadcast on TVO back in '92(ish)!

Pressed or not, it’s worth buying to recapture that experience with a new sense of urgency, as well as to support the release of more Sayles. Sunshine State next, please!

All of these titles are pressed and have been for many years-- the MOD label is a bit of a misnomer here. Think Warner Archive Blu-rays

Received my copy today. Haven't watched it yet, but quickly previewed it a bit and it looked good. Spanish 5.1 DTS-HD MA audio track, English and English SDH subtitles. Only special feature is the US theatrical trailer (letterboxed 4:3 480i MPEG2).

Watched it a few days ago. It is a new 4K remaster from 2023, approved by the DoP, that's what the text before the film says. Overall it looked clean and stable, but blacks were a little crushed and some shots looked too oversharpened. I don't know if that's the intended look as I have never seen it before, and my only source for comparison is the included low-quality trailer. It is a perfectly serviceable disc and I doubt this film will get a better release from anywhere else, sadly.

Sony is releasing Jean-Paul Rappeneau’s entertaining Bon voyage on Blu. I already have the French Blu but I can def recommend— kind of a left field choice though!
