I heard David's song during Jennifer Chamber Lynch's film Surveillance... which discretely reminded me of Daniel Johnston's voice; in whom Sparklehorse has quite an obsession with. I think it's a perfect fit for this compilation CD.

So the Sparklehorse album has been derailed but that's not preventing the limited edition from shipping out with a blank CD-R and a 100 page book of photographs by David Lynch.

The new sparklehorse/danger mouse can be heard in it's entirety. Lynch does vocals on two of the tracks.

Lynch is set to release a new album, Fox Bat Strategy: A Tribute to Dave Jaurequi that was largely recorded in 1994 using the session musicians from Fire Walk With Me.

MacLachlan adds, "David's focus is more on transcendental meditation now."

I guess that and the several projects he is usually involved in at one time.

I always thought there was potential to revisit the characters when the actors had aged... but Lynch would have to be onboard for the project to have any kind of legitimacy, naturally.

"I'm a Democrat now. And I've always been a Democrat, really. But I don't like the Democrats a lot, either, because I'm a smoker, and I think a lot of the Democrats have come up with these rules for non-smoking. And I don't think that that's necessarily so bad, but they have to give the smokers a place. You're just like an animal now. Not a clean animal, but a mangy, soiled, urine-soaked animal with remnants, and you're sent outdoors. Animals on my dad's ranch were always kept outdoors, because they weren't like house pets. Now, house pets are treated way better than smokers."

Sad that his only film on blu-ray is Dune. Not to mention The Elephant Man and Wild at Heart are OOP.
