I just read the tread. This is truly incredible. I have sent them another email asking them to can my order and issue a refund. I hope to get a reply soon.

They said on their website at the time of the sale that there would be a delay in processing orders, presumably as they're a tiny team who are not equipped to deal with a surge in demand.
My order arrived today, by the way, well packaged. Absolute bargain at these prices.

From their website:
As with previous sales, uptake will be very high. Your order will be despatched within 7-14 days, if not sooner, but please be patient for at least 21 days.

I made two orders yesterday (Sunday - one in the afternoon and one later in the evening), and just got shipping confirmation for both five minutes ago (Monday afternoon)!

So, I am guessing that something's is messed up with my order. So, why the heck they are not replying to my emails? I will probably then call my bank to dispute the transaction. This is useless.

I made an order last Saturday and it sat there for over a week. Got a shipping notice this morning though, and it says dispatched on my account.
Given they acknowledged there was an issue, I didn't bother contacting them. I suspect a little patience will see all delayed orders sorted out in the next couple of days.

They specifically said to wait up to 21 days before worrying. Not everything is in stock at the same time. It will come.

It seems like there is hope. I can wait few more days. I don't have problem waiting for the items. My problem is that they are not responding to my emails. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I always got the impression Network was basically a one man operation, so they're probably snowed under with the increased number of sales and the fallout from whatever happened to their system on Saturday afternoon. I've bought loads of stuff from them over the last few years and this is the first even minor blip.

Remember, most small labels are just a couple employees trying to do everything. They are likely focused on getting stuff out the door and not worrying about emails right now. I wouldn't read too much into it.

In case there is still anguish amongst the ranks - This from the Network shop-
Hi
We would like to apologise for the disruption on our website since we
launched our Summer Sale, caused by a combination of unprecedented high
traffic and some unforeseen technical issues.
We do occasionally have sales and promotions and for this latest sale we
were hit by a combination of a number of backend compatibility issues and
one of the highest traffic flows we have ever experienced. Unfortunately
orders placed between the Friday and the Monday at the beginning of the
sales were affected to a greater or lesser degree and it is those orders
that we are having to manually process now.
Although our customers normally tend to receive their orders within few
days, the terms and conditions on our website do stipulate a maximum
turnaround time to manage expectations, particularly when we have sales
such as this.
Also as per our terms and conditions, some titles are sold on a ‘while
stocks last’ basis, therefore if this was the case for your order, please
rest assure we will be refunding you the amount paid for that title.
Even though we were expecting high traffic, it went well beyond what we
had prepared for and we’ll learn and implement new procedures for the next
time.
In the meantime we are investigating your order status and situation or if
it is a faulty or wrong item received, we will look into it as well.
Please accept our apologies but be reassured that we take these issues
very seriously and act as quickly as we can to restore service to the
level it should be.
If you already received a first email from us explaining we experienced
problems on our website, please be sure it is not an automated message. If
you have sent more than one email to us, you might be getting this message
more than once, but please be sure we are looking into it. Our colleagues
at Sony are also doing their best and helping us to get orders delivered
asap.
We're working really hard to fix the problem and expect your order to be
dispatched within the next 7 to 14 days.
Thanks for your patience and continued custom.
Best,
Emma

I wonder how much of the added traffic had to do with a surge of interest in Alan Clarke's work.

Well I got my parcel in this morning but minus the Tales from School so that may go someway to answer your question.
Anyone else dans le même bateau ?

Yes, sans TooS (S*tatus 1: O/S will follow on B/O [back order]) .

Got my Network order yesterday, sans TooS aussi. And I didn't actually receive the package until today because it was shipped requiring a signature and I missed the delivery, so had to pick it up from my post depot. Not a big deal but kind of silly for a slim parcel containing a couple blurays.
Here's hoping the Tales set arrives bientôt!

Who Killed Teddy Bear? with Sal Mineo & Elaine Stritch is up for pre-sale on Amazon.co.uk for an August 27 release.
I'll be able to retire the crappy DVD.

Also upgrades to Death Line and Assault and a new release called Miss Leslie's Dolls. The latter I have never heard of, but a quick search suggests it could be at least interesting.

Many Network Blu-rays are down to absurd prices on Amazon.co.uk -- £2.99 and 4.99 before VAT. Anyone have any recommendations? Planning to pick up the two titles from the Dearden Eclipse set and am still holding out hope for Criterion to upgrade This Sporting Life so I'm holding off on that (and I assume the Hitchcocks are still coming as well), but otherwise I don't think I have any of these Blus

Didn't you like The Nightcomers? Also, I haven't seen it yet but Unearthly Stranger was directed by John Krish.

I consider Mine Own Executioner one of the most underrated 1940s British films, a neglected and intelligent psychological noir.
