I own the Blu-Ray, the original 1 disc DVD and the re-issued 2 disc DVD package. The original 1 disc DVD was a Amaray keepcase, while the 2 disc DVD package was originally issued as a digipack and is identical in supplemental content to the BD. Whether it has since been reissued as a clear case I don't know, as I haven't looked for it any longer.

Lovely optical illusion when the Rosetta cover is in the case with the blurred coat and the car. I wonder if that was intentional.

Glad I'm not alone on that, I had the same illusion looking at it.

Good design is always intentional, sir! Even when it really isn't.

Yuko Shimizu
posted a drawing of Musashi Miyamoto on her website that was, probably, the art they wanted to use, but Toho wouldn't allow, for the Samurai Trilogy cover

They are all done in the iPad/Android game Draw Something. You have a very limited pallet and typically draw with your finger, using only four thicknesses of line. It is much more difficult than it looks.

Moira Shearer does not come out ahead in that
Red Shoes rendition.

That is quite ugly.

Opposite. I dislike the film, but the way it deals with the promise of the film's premise is great.

You are a crazy person. I don't even feel all that strongly about the movie, and there's no way I'm not buying it now.

Beautiful! I'm very happy they went with the Janus re-release poster for Weekend.

There's something unpolished about that typeface to me, though. A little swimminghorses-y.

That Heaven's Gate image would be great for a gangster flick.

The Trilogy of Life covers are Fishing with John bad. I half thought the box cover from last month was a joke.
Serious question, was a swimming horses cover ever as bad as those? I can't remember any that awful.

I really like the hand drawn look on the Pasolinis, it's nicely striking. The Eclipse yellow looks ugly on the computer, but it'll probably look better in person.

Did they actually hire swimminghorses?
I sort of like them, but I don't really know why. But I don't begrudge anyone their outrage/hatred over them.
