Leave the title on the shore and put "A Wes Anderson Film" in big, yellow, curlycue letters.

Moonrise cover has been revised to include Anderson's name.

I like how the text is less imposed on the image.

I like how Gaskell spent months perfecting the cover image and then they didn't even give the original title treatment enough thought for it to last more than a day.

Huge improvement for me. Kind of looks like an old paperback. Speaking of which, the fact that there is an included booklet along with a map and "other ephemera" gives me hope that this will be a digipak release, which would complete the book feel. It should look like the kind of book you might find in Suzy's suitcase. Normally I prefer the sturdier standard cases, but that great painting seems to really lend itself to a digipak and it would make a lovely match for the great Fantastic Mr. Fox dual-format box.

The Kilers
What's in the last picture? Two postcards? Two leaflets?

Each film gets its own foldout insert with an essay, similar to the DVD

Haven't seen this mentioned here yet but I saw the Babette's Feast Blu-ray only repackage in-store at BN this morning and it's worth noting that unlike Tess it retained its digipak packaging

That release predated the introduction of dual formats. I'm pretty sure it was originally a Blu-ray only package.

Well, the mystery of why no one mentioned it has been solved

I bought Babette's Feast on the day it came out and I am absolutely positive that mine is only a blu-ray edition. So, was there a dual format edition ever? It's not like I am dying for an extra DVD copy, but just being curious.

I thought there was since I knew there was a repackaging, but swo's right, there wasn't. I'm guessing the copy I saw at my BN was the original digipak and the repacking is in fact a conventional case (ala Night of the Hunter)

I love the illustrated posters for Sullivan's films in the booklet for Sullivan's Travels. Now I want to see Ants in Your Plants of 1939 even more.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or if it's been shared somewhere else on the forum, but it's
a creative use of Criterion cover arts.

Wasn't what I was expecting, but it sure is an interesting blend of classic and modern art.

Yeah, that's excellent. I wouldn't even mind having a poster of a couple of them.

The Salo one is especially inspired, and almost terrifying.
