I don’t think it’s a hard and fast rule, though - like, Bamboozled came under a year after Do the Right Thing. The Fassbinders definitely have appeared multiple times over the course of a year. I would think it’s unlikely they’ll pop up immediately, but it’s not crazy to think they could still show up this year.

Amores Perros isn’t a WCP title - it’s still with Lionsgate.

Weirdly, the second half and only the second half of that Denis doc on Rivette is on the Criterion channel right now. Which makes me wonder if there's some sort of weird rights issue with the first half?

Didn't realize the second half was on the channel actually! But I have yet to see it. The first half is on YouTube, but skipping through it, it doesn't seem like there should be any rights issue unless that excerpt from Out 1 isn't ok for some reason. I suggested the doc because it would be the main reason I'd double dip. But Criterion's apparent tendency to squeeze everything onto one disc does not sound so promising.
