That would basically be the release of the century, especially if the elements are good enough for Blu-ray.

Les Bonnes Femmes is my favorite Chabrol by a wide margin. Would love to have it in Blu.

Does anyone have a clue if Kino will release any Wong Kar Wai film again? Pretty sure there's been nothing on this front since before the merger in 2009. A bit concerning to me and I might just end up buying a couple of imports(shoddy subtitles) instead of just relying on blind hope that one day Kino will do rereleases in blu ray.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere around, but Kino's really outdone themselves with the extras for The Rape of the Vampire. In addition to all of the stuff they typically have for these Rollin releases it has The Yellow Lovers and The Far Country. Also there's a doc by somebody named Daniel Gouyette. That said it seems to have the same booklet as The Demoniacs (same image as the later's cover and talks about the former from what I skimmed).

I'm pretty sure it's the same booklet for all the Rollin discs.

One down, one to go.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I've read online that VCI are planning a BD of the latter.

I think you are right Adam.VCI has some excellent releases like Losey's The Prowler but for some reason I wish some other company would handle Blood and black lace on blu.Hoping for the best...

Buster and Wong Kar-Wai...and the Bava's I'll have to get. What has Criterion got to offer me today?

Anyone have any ideas on the lack of Days of Being Wild? With how quickly Kino released Fallen Angel and Happy together on blu (and now rereleasing them) it seems they might not have the rights any longer. I am surprised at the lack of a In the Mood for Love blu form Criterion too. Would love a Criterion of the trilogy (mostly for Days of Being Wild though), but who knows how long it would take them to release it.

Anybody seen the Richter doc? Could be a blind buy as the film has decent reviews and Richter is the only living painter whose work matters to me.

Is there an HD release of Days elsewhere in the world? I ask because—and I could be wrong—I think most of the time Kino licenses their HD releases from other sources.

There is a blu available in HK. Maybe the elements aren't good enough for Kino.

Don't recall any significant issues with the HK releases wrt elements. One of them, don't recall which, did have some pretty bad English subtitles though.

Only one Keaton film left that Kino can release - feature or shorts - I believe: College (1927)

Does Redemption own all of the Bava titles released in the Anchor Bay boxes? I'd hate to sell my box and lose out on some titles.

Keaton & Bava from Kino, 2 Carnes and Umberto D from Criterion, quite a month!

I wish they could pick up the rights to
The Cameraman, but I assume there's not much chance of that. Maybe they'll move on to a lesser known silent comic, though.

I'd be over the moon if Harry Langdon went Blu.

The subtitles for As Tears Go By are fine but the subtitles for Days of Being Wild are allegedly awful. I own the As Tears Go By HK release and it looks decent but soft. However, as I understand it, it is "working as intended." I did not buy Days of Being Wild because of the alleged subtitle issue.
Come on Kino! Lets get Days of Being Wild released in the states with real English subtitles.

I'd say that term applies to everyone outside of Keaton, Chaplin, and Lloyd. (Maybe also Laurel & Hardy, though I don't primarily think of them as silent comedians.)
