A little heads up, instead of coming down this evening the sale pages on our site will stay active until Sunday lunchtime (UK time)

Another bouquet for Eureka / MoC. My second splurge on their sale turned up in the mail today.

The box failed the first Merlin test, as it arrived with one corner comprehensively crushed and the rest of the box looking very sad indeed (I'd bet that an actual Merlin package would withstand a Russian tank - which may well be what they were designed for), but it passed the second Merlin test with flying colours, as all the discs inside were intact and pristine. Which is what sturdy packaging is all about.

It's a fantastic sale, so if you haven't taken full advantage of it yet (or it hasn't taken full advantage of you), make the most of the extension!

Yeah, I picked up Shoah and Junebug on Blu this morning when I remembered the sale ended today. Thanks for the extension, Eureka!

Eureka failed even the DVDPlanet test year -- their packaging allowed my Naruse set to get so badly smashed that even the paper inserts in all three cases were torn beyond repair. Let's hope they bring it up to 1-for-2 this year.

My Eureka packaging was fantastic. A sturdy cardboard box with the DVDs well packed inside and sent by next day delivery for free. Couldn't ask for more.

I got my second order today: Naruse and Bellissima. Bellissima was fine, but Repast in the Naruse set had a broken hub which left a floater. I replaced that case with a black one, not as pretty but funcitonal.

My order of Naruse, Metropolis and Nosferatu arrived as well in a well-made packaging. Am buying MoC since 4 months and increasing my spending on it.
And I am absolutely happy about the DVDs and the opportunity to support you guys directly. It feels like a (art-cinema) donation... :D

Have a Happy Christmas everyone!

I'm hoping for a lot of their earlier German silent releases to be on sale during the next one. ;)

Has anyone spotted any places where the M Blu-ray can be preordered for a heavily discounted price?

Nice, but note that
Shipping outside of the UK is charged at a flat rate of £1 per item

I don't think it's unreasonable, the Naruse set in particular is a bargain, they lose money with shipping as it is even in the UK!

Is the cost to ship the Pialat Bundle to the USA £1 or £5?

Damn. Sod's Law! I wish for some German silents in the next sale but Frau im Mond and Spione come bundled with a French film I have no use or interest for! :(
