That Heath Ledger. He's no Cesar Romero.

Wow, that is one bad Joker costume. :( On the other hand, it is really creepy.

I'm guessing that the insane amount of hype right now is due to the first real trailer being released at Christmas.

The trailer will be attached to prints of I Am Legend, beginning December 14. The IMAX prints of I Am Legend will have the entire seven-minute opening scene of The Dark Knight attached (presumably in IMAX format) instead.

I was under the impression that the IMAX footage would be an exclusive prologue seperate from the film.

Very cool.

The first six-minutes screened in New York for a select audience of 60. And yes, the entire portion is in IMAX format. Here are the details of what you can expect.

Not to make that place any more crowded than it's already going to be but... That website is the final solution to the whole viral marketing campaign so far. Register and get free tickets to screenings of the IMAX prologue.

More pics.

Promo madness continues with cell phones inside of cakes.

I've been taking part in all of the viral marketing for TDK and cake day was and exciting one. Basically, a website was found that had a countdown set to hit zero and launch a new website at Noon the next day. Once it launched, the website had pictures of stuffed animals holding papers with addresses on them, each of the addresses turned out to be bakeries. The first person to make it to any of the bakeries would ask for a special package under the name, "Robin Banks," they then received a cake with a number on it! They called the number, the cake itself would ring, and inside was an evidence bag with a cell phone/charger and a note from Joker. Once all of the phones were found, a new website launched with the new teaser poster and access to free tickets to a screening of the IMAX prologue. The people with cell phones will surely play key roles in the next part of the marketing campaign, they are still awaiting more calls from Joker, or, "Joker," rather.

First rule of Batclub is you don't talk about Batclub.

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

Man, is it just me, or were all of the buildings in Gotham just placed randomly. It looks like no two are oriented the same way. Imagine what the streets must look like - none more than a couple of blocks long; some funneling to an abrupt, pointed end. But maybe that was the Joker's insidious plan all along, and the Batman is assessing the mess.

Maybe it's too cold out to be sitting on gargoyles.

You don't need imagine anymore! Come to Europe where every Town and City has been cobbled together over the course of a few centuries.

I don't know about Boston or Europe (great joke btw), but it looks like LA to me. I miss the Gotham of the animated series.
