Ok here's another since no one's put one up for a while:
For there is good news yet to hear and fine things to be seen,
Before we go to Paradise by way of Kensal Green.

Listen to Britain.
Next: "Right here on the carpet, right now. Doesn't that sound like fun?"

Well, I was thinking of another film. Listen to Britain is more an extra feature than a Criterion title.

Oops, sorry. I haven't seen "Listen to Britain" since I was an undergrad, but I thought for sure that must be it . . . I guess it must be "A Canterbury Tale" then?
(And no, my quote isn't from "Unbearable...")

Powell, yours is Scenes from a Marriage, no? If so, I'll leave the next quote up to whoever solves this whole Listen to Britain conundrum.

It's not Listen to Britain and not A Canterbury Tale, either.

The Horse's Mouth! one of the last lines of the film.

Yep, mine was "Scenes From a Marriage" and after two wrong guesses I'm taking myself out of the game for a while. In any case SncDthMnky should go next, of course.

Been away for a while but loved this quote in a CC movie I watched last night:
"I'm a man who loves both oysters and snails"

Finally a quote I can get! I'm Spartacus!
My quote is "To me a church is just a place of business"
EDIT: Sorry SncDthMnky - just looked at the previous posts and it should have been your go.

Difficult one...
"I'm in the mood for love"

I'm worried about suggesting this since it is so obvious, but what the hell, this isn't
QI and I'm not going to lose points, so:
Is it In The Mood For Love?

I knew it was tricky but at least you had the guts to say what everyone has been thinking... but... it's not!
It's from LE JOUR SE LÈVE included in the 50 Years box set.
Someone proceed for me please!

Ah!

And of course now I think about it the song was never used in the film anyway, just on the trailers!
How about this quote, from a film I watched this afternoon - it could become our forum motto!:
"How sweet they
both are! I always agree with the one who spoke last"

The Importance of Being Earnest?
If correct, here's one of my favorites: "By breaking statues, one risks turning into one oneself."

No, colin's quote is from "Wild Strawberries".

jorencain is right! Ooh, I know where BrianInAtlanta's quote comes from but I'll keep quiet for a while and let someone else have a go!

OK, I've waited a few days, so I'll make my guess at BrianInAtlanta's quote! (I'm going to look very silly if my over confidence in my last post was misplaced and I've got the film wrong!):
Is your quote from Cocteau's Blood of a Poet?

Yes, indeed!
So let's try this one from the one I watched last night: "It's a whole flock of detectives."

Hang on, shouldn't it be the turn of colinr0380 if he got it correct?
