It *is* going to be one of our best announcements though! Fear not!
Can I pre-order OUT 1 now, or do I have to wait until Tuesday?

Didn't someone post that MoC said a company in the U.S. is working on Out 1?

Seriously, if it's not OUT1, it might at least be "La religieuse".

If a lot of Sternbergs will be among the announcements (as was hinted is this thread earlier), that would explain why MoC (usually so prompt to reply to inquiries) ignored my question about their plans for Blue Angel posted a month ago or so...

Blue Angel was among the very, very first titles they planned to port over from Eureka, but never did. Is there a new restoration or transfer? Of course, having a Blu-ray would be amazing.

Earlier, even before MoC made their decision about Dual Formats, there was a MoC's post right in this thread indicating that Blue Angel is coming to Blu only...

Hail_Cesar wrote:there is an awesome director called Jean-pierre Lefebvre who made films in Quebec. He is not very known today since his work hasn't been released on dvd except two films (far from being his most important work). He once got four of his films screened in Cannes in the same year at the directors fortnight (in 69 I think). He was also hailed by the Cahiers du Cinéma. His films Il ne faut pas mourrir pour ça and Le vieux pays où Rimbaud est mort are really great. They are available in VOD in HD on Quebec Quebecor's television service but not elsewhere... I watched about 10 of his films and the transfer are very good!
I'd be interested in seeing the Abel Trilogy, it would be nice if MoC explored the possibility of bringing them out on DVD or even Blu-Ray.

I hope one of the two countries Nick said MoC will be focussing on in the next 12 months is Taiwan. Almost nothing is available in the UK (or even the US); it's so depressing, although maybe there's just a lack of decent masters around.

Iran would be great too, for similar reasons, although, I'm guessing this is even less likely!

I wouldn't mind seeing more classic Hollywood from Fox and Universal archives.

Speaking of Fox, I'd like to know whether or not Eureka has plans for The Egyptian. Twilight Time is releasing a Blu-ray in the US but it's close to 50 USD shipped. As it is a limited edition though I'd have to order soon if there are no plans for a UK release. Eureka seems like the most likely candidate for licensing this, MoC or not.

Some Rouben Mamoulian would be nice, especially 'Love me Tonight'. Or is the Kino version good enough?

Speaking of Mamoulian, I think that "Blood and Sand" would look great in Blu and MoC would be the perfect candidates to produce it

It is. If Mamoulian, "City Streets" would be far more important.
