I totally thought this was going to be Out 1

Mark Kermode loves Silent Running, maybe they could get him to do a commentary, he's done a few before.

I don't think Nick likes him.

Not sure how knowledgable he'd be but he's certainly entertaining. Makes me laugh anyway :-"

They've also skipped DVD spines 109 and 110.

Another point to add on that is that Kermode has already tweeted regarding it - giving the release exposure to another 27,500 people.

Press release got there before Twitter: Touch of Evil on limited edition Blu.
Orson Welles's iconic film noir masterpiece in a ridiculously deluxe new edition, offering three versions of the film in both of its intended aspect ratios (1.37:1 and 1.85:1) for the first time anywhere in the world on Blu-ray.

I'm not sure there could be a bigger announcement!

EDIT: Holy shit, both aspect ratios?! My God, sometimes it really does help to have a DVD studio that reads our board! Even when Universal releases this stateside, they're not gonna do that!

1.37:1 = WOW.

NICK: Is there any chance, albeit slight, that this could be region-free?

The next big announcement will be the region coding!

So they've skipped BD #22 and DVDs #109 and #110. Die Nibelungen has been gestating for a while so perhaps that's BD #22... But the most important thing is that I love today's announcements and will pick up all three BDs. Kudos MoC!

Well Universal often release region-free BD's so there is hope.

I believe Make Way for Tomorrow was Universal and it had to be region locked.
