Thanks, did not notice at all until your post. I wonder if this will be approved by the staff. If yes, I bet this will become a trend for future designs.
I have a feeling they're going to change the cover; there's been much talk on Facebook about it.

I assume it's the booklet, though it does have that awful 1/2 composition Criterion has taken to in the last couple years

I added photos for the new Blu-ray case for Marienbad at the bottom of this page.

I hear the existential quantifier is quite upset about it . . . all these years and still being ignored.
An opportunity missed! Why not to use BOTH quantifiers in the same word of the title?

I sent in money via paypal for this, emperor, and 400 Blows on Dec. 13th. Still haven't gotten them. I figured the holidays created a backlog, but I hope to get them soon.

I got a reply yesterday that they're out of stock. Stock should arrive in 2 weeks.

Yes, but if they used the existential quantifier before the universal quantifier, then it would give rise to an infinite tree and all of the headaches that that entails. And then there's also the fact that there are no bound variables in the word "Dead".... If I were better with photoshop, then I could make a real geeky joke here.

The packaging for Paris, Texas and the War Trilogy is pretty great - especially like the booklet cover for the former. Can't wait to get my hands on the Rossellini set.

Che looks even better than expected. And despite being Blu myself, I almost like the digipacks of the SD better. :-"

i definitely like the SD digipacks better. i'm a little surprised they didn't do a similar but resized packaging for the blu-ray, though it's likely such a small percentage of the sales that making a new digipack wasn't practical, which is understandable.

that, or they're still leery from the original blu packaging backlash.... ;)

the war trilogy, however, looks fantastic. now i'm really eager for the next b&n 50% off sale!

Has anyone gotten a replacement Blu case for THE LAST METRO? I'm wondering what the spine looks like - if it's the Deneuve spine from the left side of the digipack version or the red spine from the right side.

Those look excellent. Even though I already own the UK HMV 2 disc blu-ray of Che, the digipack does really make it tempting to get the Criterion version...
The War Trilogy looks amazing. Bring it on.

Certainly the most appropriate color scheme choice. It certainly reminds me of quite a few wedding photos.
