MODS: Could we make this thread a sticky? I plan to continue updating my post above as new titles are announced (unless Nick would like to take over and do the updating himself).

This has probably been answered somewhere else, so I apologize if it seems repetitive, but do their Region-Free BluRays play on a US Region-locked player? Just wondering, since I've been contemplating on ordering "Sunrise" for a while.

I was bored. Here are some screens they don't want you to see:
For All Mankind
M
Make Way For Tomorrow
Metropolis
Profound Desires of the Gods

Don't own any other region B locked titles... 8-[

But it would be sadder if MoC had only released titles that they could get region-free - which was the only viable alternative. The sad fact is that properties perceived to have value (especially transatlantic value) are much more likely to come with contractual strings attached.

I perfectly understand that.
It's just that Nick had always cleared pointed the fact that, as often as possible, MoC editions would be region free.

Either way, I found sad that this way can't be followed due to contractual obligations.

The disc industry will be dead soon, and then you can be even sadder.

We don't own the films we put out and we're blue-in-the-face tired of trying to get licensors to change, so we're focusing on persuading folk who really care to get region-free players. It's the only way that fans of film can win.

Nick, can I put in a plug for "Whillikers!" as the exclamation on a future region-locked BD?

"Consarn it!" would be perfect for that screen on a Blu release of The Devil and Daniel Webster, since of course it is used in the film itself!
