You don't see the new heading?

Ah, OK. But it still shows the year on the director page, on search pages, and on miscellaneous pages related to the film (like if you click on that release date).

Yep, it does, but it's still annoying.

This is the beauty of going to original layout on your profile settings.

IMDb have now published a separate Top 250 for Indian films and deleted all Indian films from their main Top 250. Odd.

Incorrect. Some Indian movies are still in the regular Top 250 list, such as Lagaan, Gangs of Wasseypur and 3 Idiots.

I could have sworn they weren't there yesterday.

I was pretty surprised yesterday when I noticed how IMDb were using a bunch of new* genres to describe the movies (desktop version, not phone).
*By "new" I mean genres beside the ones IMDb specifies in Help Center.
Here is a screencapture of
All the President's Men:
I was preparing a longer post because while the example above isn't too bad some movies had some weird genres attached to them. For instance the redundancy of having all three of "Romance", "Comedy", and "Romantic Comedy" to describe a film. But I can't replicate this behaviour today and only have the screenacapture above. So maybe they were just testing the waters for selected useres?

I suspect it's related to the search engine, and the IMDB has applied all three tags to a film - reasonably enough, given that people might not necessarily plump for a single precise search term. When I'm trying to compile an overview, I'll often use multiple search terms myself.

That makes sense. To me the new tags is mostly something we can already find in the keyword sections (Spoof, Parody, Slapstick, Conspiracy Thriller etc.). But IMDb's keyword are often terrible because they're redundant (both Magic Realism and Magical Realism exist as keywords) or way too specific (scandi noir crime).
If they manage to use the new genre-related tags without falling into the pitfalls I mentioned, then it may actually be a nice addition. It seems pretty good so far, to be fair.
