This was an interesting and candid piece on the film by one of its historical advisers.

I completely agree, come on swo let's go see 47 Ronin together!
*wide shot of colinr and swo skipping happily into the cinema together, followed by lapse dissolve to the front of the cinema about an hour or so later from which only muffled screams can be heard*

I’ve been following this story a bit via articles in the Hollywood Reporter. It really says a lot about Netflix’s inability to manage some of its productions, too. Amazing how a guy responsible for directing a single feature, which itself is a complete piece of shit, got so much autonomy and money

I have just spent much of the work day idly wondering at just how anyone can possibly manage to spend $400,000 on a pair of luxury mattresses!

We just needed to get a new bed and mattress (after 40+ years). We spent a bit less than 1 percent of this amount -- and it felt like a HUGE expense.

From the
Fortune article cited in that video:
Rinsch, 48, attended his trial in a Manhattan federal courtroom early Tuesday, facing charges of wire fraud, money laundering, and unlawful monetary transaction that carry a combined maximum penalty of 90 years in prison. He has pleaded not guilty and declined to discuss a plea deal.
Sheeezus... Well, guess we'll see how he does trying to prove his innocence.
Maybe Netflix will make one of their 'true crime' docs about it when it's all said and done, and title it
48 Rinsch. (sorry, I had to)

I'm sure Trump will pardon him.

Fucking Bret Ratner, birds of a feather. He made a Melania Trump documentary, which is probably as interesting as watching a piece of cardboard float down a river

From the reviews I see, the cardboard sank.
