Inexplicably this film merited an unattributed plea to be released in the UK in Movie (whereupon it’s also revealed Franju’s first film had an equally inexplicable English title)

Raymond Durgnat wrote the Movie book on Franju, so he could have written the above (not having read the book I don't know if the above ties in with it).
