I agree with warren. The Force itself was never asleep. I also think that "awakens" is a verb that lacks energy & excitement (just like me in the morning).

I'm sure it has been used already but how about: "Can You Feel The Force?"

Real Jedi freeball it. Which might, come to think of it, awaken one's Schwartz.

Not to be mistaken for Space Disco classic "(Do You Have) The Force"

I'm not sure that those were the droids I was looking for.

(But they're amazing nonetheless!)

Obligatory "Needs more Jar jar" joke ...

That being said, seems like a decent enough teaser to get the masses frothing, but I'm sure some will be disappointed it didn't show many characters, especially any of the established ones. Personally, I think I'm defnitely going to see the movie, just because there's so much hype, and will be so much negativity, around it that it will be nearly impossible to get a sense of whether it's good or not just from word of mouth (I kind of felt the same way about Interstellar).

Mostly looks good, I suppose, though it's so focused on familiar scenes and moments that it feels like a trailer for a remake rather than a sequel- but sheesh is that lightsaber they show stupid looking.

I thought the same thing about the sword, but I suppose there's a practical reason for swords to be shaped like that, it just looks off though.

Makes sense to me. After what happened in the earlier film, wouldn't you want to protect your hand?

Right, it's practical, and it adds a weight of antiquity which I suspect plays into this villain's character.

Pretty sure the practical reason for those (there is also a symbolic value, it representing the cross) was to act as a stop in case your opponent tried to slide his blade down yours and hack off your arm. Doubt it would work with a lightsabre in the same way but, I don't know, maybe you could stab someone with it when fighting close in. I assume it's just to look cool, tho'.

I'd say it would be a good cigarette lighter, but thanks to the MPAA unlikely.

Watching Harrison Ford et al dressed in those vintage costumes was like watching the Rolling Stones of today. Just awkward.

Two minutes of this thing released and already a meta-joke?

Yeesh.

Well, I'm assuming "home" is the Falcon, which would mean they haven't had the ship for a while and get it back in this film. A complete guess on my part, but it would make the most narrative sense.

To be fair, longer than Ant-Man or Guardians of the Galaxy lasted.
