I wouldn't say jealousy. I personally get frustrated with him for not making his "own" films.

People like PTA take director's work and make it their own so it isn't copying. Tarantino has a bad habit of mimicking the classics he sees.

That statement seems very bitter and cliche. Tarantino has made Kill Bill 1 & 2 along with Death Proof. Both of these films were great in my opinion. I also know there are many on here who loved Kill Bill and, like myself, await the Blood Bath edition in 2009?

I'm a big QT fan as well, and I also love KB and Death Proof. I understand that his style isn't for everyone, and of course everyone's entitled to express their opinions. Though I do find it strange that so many people feel compelled to say things like "I can't believe anyone else likes his films" when QT comes up for discussion.

On the other hand, that line from domino about Mira was pretty classic!

I really enjoyed reading the script. However, I couldn't help but see very frustrating parallels between the "negotiation" scenes in this film and the ending of Pulp Fiction. In fact, it was almost like I was picturing Aldo as Samuel Jackson after a while.

However, the screenplay was pretty good and I can't wait to see what he does with it.

Inglorious Bastards will start shooting in October and will thankfully, only be a single film.

So Universal are in talks to co-produce with the Weinsteins. I would imagine they are trying to finalize a budget that works in the probable event of tepid box office returns. Also, it appears Brad Pitt is long way from being involved after he burned Universal when dropped out of State Of Play at the last minute.

I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product. The script was nothing like I thought it would be, but fun nonetheless. Some of the tense sequences in the films were just phenomenally written. Especially the opening chapter.

Hopefully he won't cast himself in it...every time I see him in a movie, the picture just grinds to a halt for me as I sit patiently while all the "Tarantino-isms" get trotted out and performed ad nauseum. And while I'm on the subject, does every special effects make-up/gore heavy movie have to feature Tom Savini in a cameo? I just watched Planet Terror last night and all I could think of was "weren't there any actors who needed a job?", or did Rodriguez owe him money, or what?
