Update: my copy came in what must be the weirdest packaging I've ever gotten from Amazon - a box about seven times its height, with a small cardboard space that looks like a desk taped to the back of the book itself. It's like a very small, entirely unnecessary reading table.

Same here, except it was glued to the front of the book.
