Is this another desktop vs. mobile discrepancy? It's a British miniseries that aired on BBC One from 24 Sep-15 Oct 2006. 21 Jan 2007 was when it started airing on U.S. TV. IMDb (on a desktop), Letterboxd, and Wikipedia all put it in 2006

That's fine. I didn't investigate further & since my 2006 was full with 8+ (and 2007 only 1/2 so) I was hoping for the best.

Just watched The Banishment last night (it's on Kanopy), had no idea about this one (or that it was the same director as The Return (2003) & Leviathan (2014)) & was blown away. Just wanted to plug it so it doesn't end up an orphan. Andrey Zvyagintsev is becoming one of my favorite contemporary directors, can't wait for Minotaur to be released.

I have to disagree with No Country over There Will Be Blood. As much as like the former, the latter is an all-time favorite, my #1 of the decade. Given that TWBB landed at #1 in 6 individual lists, to NCfOM's 2, I predict There Will Be Blood will land higher when it comes time for the decade list.

Thanks to the other three voters for Walk Hard! A small part of me hoped it would miraculously be #1, so we could have this gif stamped on the site.

Who’s the Live Free or Die Hard fan?

Nice! I like it a lot, but not that much. Probably my favorite of the sequels, though.

It is a film that, for all its flaws, is one I return to once a year or so to marvel at its ingenuity and creativity (in that this movie generously gives us three of the most outlandish and wildly inventive action scenes in the history of the genre)

And as a professed Coen skeptic, I still rate No Country higher than There Will Be Blood (if only just barely). For me it’s the only film from them that fully works, and they get out of the way of the material and make one right choice after another. But Michael Clayton is better than both

I have to disagree with No Country over There Will Be Blood

These results were interesting. The same number of people voted for both films. TWBB received several more #1 votes but in spite of that, NCFOM had several more top 10 votes. Based on how people voted, if the question were just which is better out of the two films, the winner would be the Coens by 13-8 (though 4 people voted for neither so I can't tell their preference)
