I addressed this specific point above: unlike Criterion, small boutique labels rely massively on the limited edition model, because it's the only reliable way that anyone has yet devised of persuading people to spend close to the RRP close to the release date, which is the time when a label is at its most financially vulnerable as all the production and manufacturing budget has been spent. If customers know that the booklet contents are going to be made available online at a later date, that incentive evaporates.
