Apparently, the Cinematic Orchetra DVD got a Reissue today.
Unfortunately, it's "Temporarily Out Of Stock" on release day.... hmm...

I think the new BFI is the ultimate edition.

Has anyone seen both the Arte/Absolut-Medien DVD AND the Image Entertainment DVD? I have the latter and am wondering whether I should double dip.

I meant in terms of picture quality, others will argue that they don't like the score.

Man with a Movie Camera is, thus far, the only silent film I've ever watched without music (with some avant-garde exceptions, like Brakhage). I watched the Kino disc and started with the score on, but it felt terribly wrong and I turned it off. One of my favorite films, and purely by merit of the rhythm is creates for itself. I don't know if I could watch it with a score, even a good one.

The Yuri Tsivian commentary track on the Image is priceless all by itself (everything the guy does is pretty much excellent)... then you have the Alloy score, probably their best (which isn't saying much, but still...).

Is The Cinematic Orchestra score any good?

I think it's incredible. But I am biased since they are one of my favorites.
