I never clearly understood the deal that Groening had with Comedy Central. I thought that CC would have re-runs, the new direct-to-dvd films and any other new episodes produced. Why would Groening go back to Fox? I highly doubt that they are going to give them the Seth MacFarlane treatment. Seth already has Family Guy, American Dad and Cleveland and Groening will have The Simpsons and Futurama. Futurama will be batted around the schedule again. They should stay in Comedy Central or Cartoon Network where they at least will get a better treatment.

Actually, since Fox is not renewing King Of The Hill, Futurama can fill that slot quite easily.

I'm still heartbroken about King of the Hill being canceled.

I thought that slot was given to Cleveland.

So, Comedy Central just picked up Futurama for 26 more episodes

The Complete Futurama 1999-2009 will be released to the public this October, but nerds can get their limited edition at Comic-Con.

Casting calls are now out to replace all the lead character voices for the new episodes.

That's too bad. I was hoping all the regulars would return, it will not be the same.

Hopefully Billy plans on returning back to Howard Stern and take Artie's place.

I don't see them lasting more than one season if this happens. Do the idiots at Fox think that the voices don't make a difference in the enjoyment of the show?

Even though there hasn't been an official statement yet from Fox, according to the Toronto Star, the original voice-cast is back.

If Fox wants to change something, how about Futurama's garish color palette? I like this show but always found it strange that practically every frame is dominated by combinations of purple and teal green, etc..

We are seven episodes into the new season. Is anyone else besides me watching? The first five episodes had some good moments but each had major flaws. They left me wondering if bringing the show back was a bad idea....but I have to say the last two episodes have been fantastic. Hopefully they keep the bar high for the remaining episodes of this season.

Time? I don't want to go back there.
Yeah, I've been enjoying this progression a hell of a lot. They seem to have finally balanced things back to normal. The attempts at being topical were a bit grating early on and I hope they keep that sort of thing to a minimum.

I've caught the last two episodes, but not much else from the new season. I should point out every episode from the Fox era and the four movies are all on Netflix streaming now :)

I found the latest season to be very uneven, but the masterful "forward time travel" episode alone makes this worthy of a purchase.

I haven't kept up with it lately, but I did catch that episode and I'd easily rank it among the series' best episodes.
