Wow, this place is sausage factory. If anything, this thread maintains the stereotype of cinephiles as Comic Book Guy styled loners. I would hate/love to see the reaction if a Suicide Girl posed with one of these t-shirts.

I just wish the t-shirts fit the male models as well as they fit the female ones. The guys all look like they just got out of a meeting about upgrading Unix servers. They could take a hint or two from this guy.

Perhaps we could e-mail Matt Lipson and ask if there are any plans to upgrade their current male models to new editions with more attractive packaging.

Oh hell, I just went to order a shirt and they don't ship outside the US. Dammit! I'm just north of the border for godsakes!

From the body, I'm guessing William Becker.

$10.13 for shipping? For a t-shirt? Is it hand-delivered by elves? By the girls in the pictures?

10.13?!?!

I've paid less at topless joints to get the girl to take the t-shirt off!

I could make my own shirt that would fit and have that logo for cheaper than 10.13.

I wont get one unless I win a contest.

They don't ship to Puerto Rico also. So I don't get to buy an overpriced shirt.

10.13 is a perfectly acceptable price when you take into consideration the hard work put into the delivery process. Criterion has worked with United Parcel Service to completely remaster the shipping of the shirts, from cleaned-up padded envelopes free of dirt and debris, to a new brighter typeface on the mailing label with original transfer of the address overseen by the director of UPS's public relations, Robert Greyson. The package is then shipped sealed in packing tape sourced from the original tape master.

CC has gone very parochial recently. If you live outside the US they wait for you to email them three times (in my experience) before they'll tell you that they won't deal with any complaints/replacements unless you're Stateside. That never used to be the case.

Based on the posts above and the new "forum logo" it wouldn't be hard for a newcomer to make a good estimate of the distribution of sexes at this place... #-o ;)

awesome because hords of indie gen-whatevers love expressing their faint interest in interesting things to make them appear more interesting.

but they did pull the clothes photo from their defult myspace picture.

The store has now "closed for maintenance". Do you think all the men are at the gym while the women stay home ironing?

This latest episode of "The Criterion Follies" is the most hilarious one yet.

Just got this email. Wish I'd ordered more than just a t-shirt and hat now. The message was from "Jon Mulvaney," who has apparently been promoted to manager of The Criterion Gap now that Matt Lipson has taken over his old job.
Thanks for being one of the first people to order from the Criterion store! We're shipping out your order today by US Mail. We've learned a lot in processing the first orders and are working out the kinks in the system. As a way of saying thanks, we haven't charged you for your order. We hope you'll be back to visit the store again soon.
Happy Viewing.

Sincerely,

The Criterion Store
