Saw it on Showtime at a friend's house after EW reviewed it. We're pretty big Catherine Keener fans and liked Ellen Page in Juno. Afterwards we both just sat there and didn't have much to say. Luckily we watched something light after so we didn't have to end the evening on this. CK and EP were very good in it but you do kind of feel like what was the point in making this, I guess to remind people that things like this happen but lately it seems like the news takes care of that.
The River's Edge came to mind as far as the other childrens' participation in the crime.
If you like Catherine Keener or Ellen Page rent it for their performances but I recommend making sure you have something lined up after to wash away the bitter stench you will have in your heart.
