Can we link each trailer to the first page of each thread for that CC spine. That would be nice.

I don't wish to kick a man while he's down, but I'm curious as to how everyone would interpret "The Virgin Springs"? Is this a new entry in the "Chaste Girls On Trampolines" DVD series? Or is it the location I am always driving past on my way to The Maiden Springs?

It's a nice thought, but I think that with the kind of people that post comments on youtube, linking to anything in a video description may cause problems in our house.

Jesus.

Do you mean link from the trailer to this site, or link from each thread to the trailer? Because I'd prefer that that first one never happens, for reasons stated above.

And I was just on YouTube looking at the trailers posted by Teddy and must say I'm amused that so far "Naked" is in the lead on views by quite a bit. Not what many were expecting I'm sure.

Sorry for being unclear. From our site to the trailer, of course. Definitely not the other way around!

If there's any way for chris to turn on html in that specific section, we could embed them in the first post.

Whoa, rather spooky.
Perhaps it was done for insurance purposes, but you'd think if someone was passionate about movies that they would at least add a brief comment for each, or make a minimal effort to film it in a presentable (if not creative) manner.
Yeesh.
Makes me think that Criterion benefits from people not getting laid.

I'll confess. I have chosen, on more than one occasion, to stay home on a weekend just to be able to afford another couple of criterions. probably because the criterion's are a sure thing.

Haha, and if the unknowing person found the video, and actually wanted to see the movie, they'd be again surprised to find that the film isn't a bouncy comedy,

Word on the street is that he's actually Jon Mulvaney.

Anybody notice he owns both 'Richard III' and the Olivier Shakespeare box separately? I wonder if he's noticed?

This thread is starting to read like the comments on a Gawker post.

Someone made a CC tribute on Youtube, I love the last clip from Amarcord the most. Although I think some of these clips come from the laserdisc releases, although I'm not too sure.

I was tempted to create a "Criterion Behind the Scenes" thread. Here's a brief video from Gizmodo :

I'm aware it's just that they're doing the regular NYC press tour and stopped by, but 45 Years will surely come from Criterion at some point next year, right?

That might be my favorite of the ones they've done so far. I'd have less shame about raiding the closet.

The fact that they qualified the OOP statement regarding Contempt with a "but" has me unreasonably curious...

I wouldn't get your hopes up, even if I'd love that too! That "but..." sounds more that they might look out a copy of their Contempt disc for him from somewhere! And quite rightly too, as Eigeman needs to see that one! And the Criterion edition has another essential commentary track from Robert Stam!

I'm also with Eigeman on the Videodrome packaging. I'll never get rid of the perfectly-sized DVD edition because of that, despite having upgraded to the Blu-ray Criterion and the Arrow set since then!

How did you get the link? The video is unlisted. It's not on the Criterion youtube page either.
