Since when? In September I ordered a pre-order on its own and just got the standard points.

This has been the case in perpetuity.

(Not sure where I saw that price for Human Condition Trilogy, perhaps it was just wishful thinking when I typed it in.)

Just waiting for my points from the first sale order so I can maybe use them for a second order, which at this point would probably just be HCT plus a few other mia Criterion titles.

edit: Instead of the few other mia Criterion titles, went with Tre Fratelli instead, so HCT + Tre Fratelli to get full use of accumulated points, free shipping, plus also get some double reward points back.

Went for the
Closely Observed Trains
The Firemen's Ball
Human Condition

Wish the Academy titles were both UK and US, then I could have them as a Gold List member and save big $!

I beg to differ, unless a system glitch prevented me from being awarded double points back in September.

I have rewards balance orders from the September sale of things not included in the sale, ordered on their own, that are double points. It's not new.

I'm going for these two. No more or I'll break the bank (Eureka are having an Amazon flash sale as well), but I will pre-order The Human Condition as well.

Solange has since been added, but The Honeymoon Killers and most titles also in the HMV/Fopp offer aren't in this flash sale. However, if you live abroad most of them are in the 3 for £20 on Amazon - they seem to be matching HMV's prices on anything and everything lately.

Double points on everything during sales. If you didn't get double points on an order you placed during a sales period, contact Arrow and they should add them manually.

I don't know if it dipped down and back since then, but it was £49.99 when it was announced.
No Early Bird price for this one - just £49.99, straight-up. I'm gonna pre-order it this weekend and use up some points, once I've ordered a couple of sale titles...and I'll get double points back as well (roughly £8 worth)!

Was there ever any booklet included in The Firemen’s Ball or Closely Observed Trains?

Both were limited to the first thousand copies.

I placed an order for them, and was just wondering if I would be lucky enough to get the booklets.

I think what happens is that points are added once your order is processed. If you order near the end of a sale or just order pre-orders, your order ends up being processed after the sale is over and you only get single points. This happened to me last time and I just contacted them to resolve it.

Is Hard to be a God still coming with a booklet?

I preordered The Human Condition, Three Films by Paolo & Vittorio Taviani and Tre fratelli as separate orders yesterday when the sale started, and just went to check my account and saw they'd already added double points for each order.

I'm sure this sense of utter bewilderment is voiced here each time Arrow throw a sale, but this is one time I'll happily consciously annoy anyone and be a broken record: that is, I don't think I've ever had business with a company that would have such an insanely amazing reward points policy. Even if there weren't such a policy at all, I'd still buy those releases, no questions asked, but now they're actually giving me 2294 points for buying their products. My humble thanks to all involved!

I was also wondering, but my hopes aren't high, as the booklet doesn't seem to be mentioned on the product page.

Sorry I can't provide any more info as to whether or not the booklet is still included but it's worth finding out. Definitely one of Arrow's most interesting and nicely put together booklets.

I ended up purchasing a handful of Bava films. I found myself passing on other films like Brute Force and The Firemen's Ball, telling myself Criterion will get around to upgrading them eventually.

Bought four films that dropped to £7.99 and bit on Hard to Be a God too, as I want it for the Lists Project.

I'd spent very little on BDs last month, so I splashed out a bit: 7 of the newer £7.99 titles from Arrow, plus pre-orders for the Human Condition and Taviani Brothers sets (double Reward Points), then used some of the points to get Three Brothers. I also bought 10 Arrow titles in the HMV "5 for £30" promo, which lasts until end April, I think.

I pre-ordered the Miraglia boxset too with points. Forgot about that.

Yeah, I splashed out a little more modestly on Arrow titles of late, but still got a lot. 4 titles from the HMV 5 for £30 offer (The Honeymoon Killers, Milano Calibro 9, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Tenebrae), 2 titles from the Arrow Shop flash sale (Cemetery Without Crosses, Blood and Black Lace), and 1 title pre-ordered from the Arrow Shop (The Human Condition Trilogy). I also received 1 title I had pre-ordered from Amazon (Waking Life), and 1 title from an Amazon multi-buy (Coffy).

In total all of that only cost me about £95, which isn't bad at all! And I still have over £9 left in points, which I will probably spend on a pre-order during the next sale (likely to be June).

I am little confused about something, therefore I have a question. I placed 4 separate orders during the sale. All the orders included pre-order items except for one. I was under the impression that shipping is free for pre-orders. For one of my orders, which contains two pre-order items, shipping was free. For two other orders containing pre-order items, I was charged 3.5 GBP each. What exactly is the policy here?

I believe free shipping is only offered if you exceed the £50 threshold.

Nope, I am pretty confident it applies on everything, I recently tried to order The Human Condition on its own and the system wouldn't budge.
